Technology: It’s All About People

I am a technology leader who thrives on mentoring, collaborating, facilitating, and orchestrating. I have extensive experience in higher education IT, analyzing problems and opportunities, and creating short- and long-term strategies. Through writing, editing, presenting, and conversation, I excel at translating between “techno-speak” and academic needs. I inspire students, faculty, staff, and administrators to be creative, pragmatic, and productive.

I have ensured that technology systems and services are based on what OrangeRockiStock_000011461730Mediuminstitutions need or aspire to do, because I have involved the appropriate people throughout the organization in making any necessary compromises. My implementation projects and people’s use of technology have been successful because, through well-written and presented communication tailored to each audience via channels the institution customarily uses people have known what to expect a system can and cannot do and how to use it. I have produced and overseen publicity so that people in each segment of the community have been aware of the benefits of the systems and services available to them.
